Pros
Good benefits. Salary is better but not top range. Some good co-workers who know who to do their job
Cons
Some juvenile managers are hiring to get promoted. They use shady tactics saying a senior is the manager you will be reporting to and later move you to a 20 yr old manager who know nothing about leadership. If it was disclosed during interview you will most likely will not join. My manager hired me with the intent to fire me after getting a promotion since she had no knowledge of the department she was managing. Pure lack of accountability for leadership failures and someone is made a scapegoat. I have been tracking my past team and have been in contact with them till today. The team has a revolving door for product managers, mainly due to my juvenile manager who know nothing. There more talk than actual work and always trying to make friends to keep ones job than actually doing the job. I was pushed to a point where I felt I am not performing well and my next company I got an excellence award in the first 6 months. I am so happy now and has a different perspective about the managers. I am very careful to assess the skill of the manager before I apply to the new positions. It is true that your under performance or lower performance in many situations is a reflection of your boss than you. It is very Hippocratic for a company like Etsy to state they are all in for supporting minorities, but it's essentially a white company where they want to show diversity in numbers but actually want minorities to do major work without promotions.
