Pros
Manufacturing and quality teams are pretty well run. Middle and upper management is stronger in those areas, as are growth opportunities. Most of the employees are great. There is good positive culture in the office areas, and operations management does what they can to ensure work-life balance while pushing for good progress. Cost of living is low. The company seems to be making adequate long-term strategic moves to stay alive and grow. Benefits are solid.
Cons
Sales, engineering, and IT are the weak areas for middle and upper management. I hear horror stories and see general managerial incompetence from sales, incompetence and a little bit of toxic behavior from IT, and a bunch of do-nothings who blow smoke and command no respect in engineering (despite the fact that they used to be movers and shakers). Quality assurance presence is strong and drag there feet all over the place. Pay could be better.
