Pros

Very talented group of admissions advisors. Although most of the top talent are currently looking for other opportunities! Free popcorn and sodas.

Cons

*HORRIBLE HOURS - no work life balance. *Benefits are a joke!! No 401 k, maternity leave or stock option -of course except for C-suite! Sick days are included in your overall bank of pto! *Incompetent middle and upper mgmt. No support or coaching. *DO NOT CARE attitude from upper mgmt towards subordinates, except the chosen few who are in "the inner circle". *VERY LOW MORAL amongst the team and other depts . Everspring has now reduced to lying to their new recruits on hours they will be working. Once hired they find out its more reflective of 11-8 three days out of the week including Fridays and Sundays for some. *The job is simple - the hours and transparency is certainly not!! Please do yourself the biggest favor and steer clear of applying at Everspring!

Thanks for your feedback. It is unfortunate that you were dissatisfied with so many aspects of your Everspring experience. Work-life balance is important to us and we go to great lengths to be up front in our hiring process when a role requires a specific schedule. As you note, our partners are in different time zones, so we have staggered schedules in place, as do most customer service organizations. We have a 40-hour week, with the opportunity to earn more with voluntary overtime. When team members’ schedules include work on a weekend, they get time off during the week. We believe it is possible to have work-life balance with a 40-hour work week and are working with those in customer-facing service roles to meet their needs outside of work while still meeting the needs of our partners. In terms of benefits, Everspring offers rich health, vision and dental coverage, various tax-free spending accounts, and a 401(k), among others. At our employees’ request, we also provide a Paid Time Off (PTO) program that offers a bank of days (combined sick leave and vacation time), to provide our team with the greatest flexibility. We wish you the best of luck in your next role. -Susan (VP, Human Resources)

Pros

The best boss I’ve ever had was at this job. I love that the job is mostly remote, but there are some in person opportunities. I always felt supported and fairly compensated.

Cons

We’re required to come in twice a month. I wish it wasn’t a requirement, just strongly encouraged.

Pros

Nice office, free coffee and snacks Work From Home Stepping Stone Some nice coworkers

Cons

Terrible work-life balance Will have you managing a huge account, almost basically on your own, and your managers (plural) will either be so burnt out that they cannot help you or so obsessed with looking good for the CEO that they disregard you and pile on more work Layoffs (twice in a calendar year now), where they’ll move the extra work to an already burnt out team Low Pay, Laughable Raises No place for growth Pushes to complete the “Chicago Great Places to Work” survey with positive remarks because that’s one of the only things making them look good to new hires
