Pros

Work with a lot of young people, can find friends easily. Get to work downtown so able to be in the heart of the city. Not micromanaged daily, but will get checked in on randomly. Freedom to be a self-starter. If you are an outsider over the age of 40, you can get into a managerial role.

Cons

Paid terribly, you WILL have to get a second job if you work here. Teams do not trust one another and are not helpful - it's best to keep your head down and your mouth shut. Zero perks - company will not even pay for a bus pass. Expectation to learn everything quickly and given grief if you ask questions. Constant environment of stress. Be wary of a company full of young people, where the only older employees are in management.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and concerns. With regards to compensation, we try to be very transparent about pay when new employees sign on and we think you’ll find we’re competitive with similar roles in the Denver area. Many of our employees, as you note, are at the beginning of their careers, and we offer a wealth of career growth opportunities that allow new team members to advance quickly. We’re a bit confused by your comment that age somehow has a bearing in our managerial hiring. Certainly experience does, and that is often commensurate with the number of years in the workforce. That said, most of our managers are well under the age of 40, and almost all of them have been promoted from entry-level positions at Evolve. We love Evolvers to ask questions and suggest proposals so we’re sad to hear you feel Evolve has a culture where you must “keep your head down and your mouth shut”. One of the first things we look for in the hiring process is independent thinkers who are interested in how to improve our processes. Not all ideas come to fruition, but we hope you don’t stop putting them forward and we will be sure to reinforce the importance of not criticizing those who ask questions.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and we're glad you enjoyed your role as a VRA. This team plays a crucial role in delivering for our owners and guests. We hold high expectations for all teams and wouldn't characterize VRA work as easy, but we do hope it's always manageable and allows Evolvers to thrive within and outside of Evolve.

Pros

Wonderful teammates that quickly become the only reason you stick with Evolve, outside of a steady paycheck.

Cons

Too many to list truly. This company is grasping at straws to survive in the short-term vacation rental industry; despite being manhandled at every turn by "partner" companies such as Airbnb. The company is literally always changing the goal post and then blaming the frontline team for not meeting their insane expectations. You will deal with multiple shift bids during the year, mainly to follow their random firing/layoffs that they wish to keep quiet. Constant system changes, staff changes and new responsibilities that are often rushed and not yet ready to be implemented, and an incredible lack of care from leadership. Nonexistent training for all of the new responsibilities you will take on after the layoff of an important team. By the time I left in April 2026, I had taken on partner services, guest support, owner support, listing optimization, booking management, damage claims for substantial incident reports and more. All of which you are expected to complete with back to back inbound calls to uphold the "customer-obsession" role. When they have decided to put you and at least 5 other teammates on the same chopping block, they will claim you were "avoiding work" or "on a call too long" to avoid any accountability for the drastic amount of issues at this company. I have had 7 MANAGERS within a 3.5 year span. If you absolutely have to work here, the only way to get through it is to completely disassociate and be sure to use your 10 EAP sessions...
