Pros

Amazing co-workers Good work/life balance Monthly happy hour Great downtown office location Awesome and easy to understand product Lots of Change, if you're up for that. You'll thrive if you enjoy a fast paced environment with a young employee base.

Cons

Unfortunately throughout my time at Evolve the con list has grown. Telling your employees that you care about them isn't enough as we all know actions speak louder than words. The transparency has waned, upper management has become severely, if not astronomically out of touch, and it generally feels like a disorganized organization. I believe they have made numerous hiring mistakes, one being that they have made the Sales Team 3-4x larger than the teams that are responsible for on-boarding and retaining the customers. The other reviews here have named a lot of the cons, but here are a few of note that come to mind: - Took away 401K/Roth contributions for 6 months without 1 ounce of communication by upper management. No warning, no updates, no emails, nothing. No match either. - No communication regarding "Equity" in company. - PTO rolled into paid sick days, only 12 days a month. Co-workers will show up in winter with severe colds. - Numerous incorrect pay-checks - Quotas based off of tenure with zero flexibility on quota adjustment - Employee to bathroom ratio is out of control.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you think your co-workers are amazing and that you have found a good work/life balance - that’s important! As for the cons, we’re sorry to hear the list has grown during your time here. We’ve certainly been growing very quickly, and that often leads to a lot of change and challenges. As you know, we’ve been transitioning to a comprehensive in-house benefits platform and the transition has not been flawless. For example, the roll out of our new 401K program took longer than expected and we certainly could have done a better job of keeping everyone updated throughout the process. That said, please know that the People Operations team is always available to provide you with direct updates and address any issues you’re experiencing. You should also know that we fully intend to continue enhancing the employee experience as the company grows. Evolve will never be perfect, but there is zero doubt in our minds that our best days are ahead of us!

Thanks for sharing your experience, and we're glad you enjoyed your role as a VRA. This team plays a crucial role in delivering for our owners and guests. We hold high expectations for all teams and wouldn't characterize VRA work as easy, but we do hope it's always manageable and allows Evolvers to thrive within and outside of Evolve.

Pros

Wonderful teammates that quickly become the only reason you stick with Evolve, outside of a steady paycheck.

Cons

Too many to list truly. This company is grasping at straws to survive in the short-term vacation rental industry; despite being manhandled at every turn by "partner" companies such as Airbnb. The company is literally always changing the goal post and then blaming the frontline team for not meeting their insane expectations. You will deal with multiple shift bids during the year, mainly to follow their random firing/layoffs that they wish to keep quiet. Constant system changes, staff changes and new responsibilities that are often rushed and not yet ready to be implemented, and an incredible lack of care from leadership. Nonexistent training for all of the new responsibilities you will take on after the layoff of an important team. By the time I left in April 2026, I had taken on partner services, guest support, owner support, listing optimization, booking management, damage claims for substantial incident reports and more. All of which you are expected to complete with back to back inbound calls to uphold the "customer-obsession" role. When they have decided to put you and at least 5 other teammates on the same chopping block, they will claim you were "avoiding work" or "on a call too long" to avoid any accountability for the drastic amount of issues at this company. I have had 7 MANAGERS within a 3.5 year span. If you absolutely have to work here, the only way to get through it is to completely disassociate and be sure to use your 10 EAP sessions...
