Where to begin. I worked as a temp with Evolve for 3 years, and it was amazing. Great company, great culture. Then I got hired. Red flags are just flags when you're wearing rose-colored glasses. Those glasses came off in training. People who have been there for years were teaching me how to do things (that I've been doing for years) incorrectly. And these weren't little things. Things that, if done incorrectly, would cost the company big money. Senior management didn't care. I watched a manager sexually harass a temp, and he got promoted. That same manager continues to this day to teach things incorrectly, or flat-out ignore his subordinates. When hired in December, I was told that there was a 6 month waiting period to be able to apply to a higher position. 4 people, whom I had trained behind the scenes, not only were allowed to apply but were promoted from tier 1 jobs to tier 3 jobs in March. I don't blame them, I blame the management. The rest of us who followed the rules were punished in May. Bare in mind that Evolve is still hiring at this time, and there's been 2-3 hiring classes since December. Mid-April, in a company-wide meeting, we were told than profits were down, but there were no layoffs ahead. 3 weeks later, they fired 14% of the company. 164 people. As of this writing, today they just fired an additional 20%, after saying no layoffs on the horizon. In the "sorry to let you go" meeting, the CEO had that audacity to tell people how to feel about losing their livelihood and being outsourced overseas, and to not leave bad reviews. Sorry, boss, they're all true. The supplied tech is garbage, and you'll end up using your own if you want to get anything done. The training, like I mentioned, is led by people who don't know the job. The training materials are years out of date, and you're expected to figure it out. There's no support, despite their claims to the contrary. Fact is, nobody knows what they're doing, but their still getting paid. Why would they risk that? There's going to be some copy-paste reply to this about forwarding it to the "people business team" but it's all lip service. Evolve used to be a fantastic place to be, and they cared about their people. I guess the C-Suite needed new boats.
