Pros

Ewing has been so encouraging and supportive with training. When I first started, I didn't know how a valve worked or what the parts were even called. Now, I know how to trouble shoot a system, I know all of the technical terms, and I have even taught a few classes on the subject. If you show excitement and motivation in your work, Ewing will give it right back and help you on your career path. The health insurance and profit sharing are very generous. The HR department is the best, super helpful and has even spoke to the health insurance company on my behalf when I was having problems with them. Ewing is a family-owned company and you can tell when you work there, you feel like family, they care about you.

Cons

Starting off, compensation is low, however there are a lot of spiffs and opportunities to earn bonuses, gift cards and earn rewards through vendors and the company. Another con is that you are dealing with the public in a customer service position, and sometimes the public can be difficult to deal with. Multi-tasking is a must have skill, if you don't already have it, you will have to develop it to work at Ewing, you are often doing 17 things at one time.

Pros

- You have the ability to work hybrid in some departments - They do give raises - Bonuses once in a while - I had no problem with the people in the FSC. Many are very nice and care

Cons

- They do bonuses once in a while. We just hit $1 billion as a company for the first time and it wasn't much. I've heard this was their first bonus in years. - Benefits are meh. Not bad but not the best. They do offer a wellness program to help save, so that was nice - Each year I got a raise but it's not much. Definitely doesn't cover inflation rate or come close to it. - Very dry at the FSC. Once in a while they'll do something, like a quarterly meeting but that's it. They don't provide lunch/breakfast but they used to. - I was used to a big outing for employee recognition at my previous job, which was taking all of us around Christmas to a Go-Kart, Bar, Axe Throwing, Bowling, Arcade place in Scottsdale with raffles. It was soooo much fun but nothing here. No appreciation. My old company wasn't close to a billion so made it more meaningful in hindsight. Again just reached a billion dollars for the first time and they made cut backs, which sucks. Doesn't make sense
