Pros
A year or so back i could have said that it was a promising company but with so many mis steps and bad judgement calls all around, the company has gone to the dogs. Instead of fixing those the co founders and other execs continue to make more of those to cover up. They had hired some promising people over a year ago but couldn't retain them due to bad judgement calls which is costing them big time today. The people who they retained or newly hired are the ones who should have been let go. This was a major mistake they made. More on this in the cons section.
Cons
Call it ego, lack of judgement, inexperience or whatever but they let go people who could have transformed the company and instead they chose to retain people who suck upto them or are close to them but are totally incapable. That has brought about the down fall of the company. Engineering and QA would have been world class and was looking much more promising if they hadn't made those mistakes. Today the Engineering and QA organizations are a joke and are so pathetic. There is no innovation, delivery, or quality making it difficult for us Sales and SE teams to bring in new customers or retain the existing ones. They have been unable to deliver a single good release in this entire year. Product organization lacks good leadership and product managers as well but given how pathetic Engineering and QA is they get to be under the radar but doesn't mean they don't have major issues. The less said the better for CS organization because thats another mess. All in all these organizations are surviving pointing fingers at each other and blaming each other for the mess. So much for accountability and guns pointing outwards mantra that gets chanted all the time. It's because of the ego, lack of experience in running a company and inability to identify good talent and retaining them, and having tons of incapable people for years has done enough damage.
