Pros

Being employed part-time at Exhale gives you access to unlimited Core Fusion and Yoga classes, fifty percent off boutique items (think luxury fitness attire and accessories), and discounted spa therapies. In other words, they encourage and make it easy to be a part of the brand. While training, you learn MindBody Online, which is a huge asset if you plan on staying in the fitness industry later in your career. You also meet a lot of people, and you learn how to handle difficult situations the way a star employee at a luxury brand would. There is a great deal of growth opportunity at Exhale, which is awesome. People who are quick learners and creative problem-solvers do very well. You also learn Exhale's own philosophy, Selling with Soul. This is both a fantastic resource for working at the front desk, as well as a productive way of thinking about sales throughout your future career. Even during stressful situations, the energy and outlook at Exhale is overwhelmingly positive. This is reinforced by the corporate management and the upper management at each location. I've had the opportunity to meet and interact professionally with the corporate management, which was an inspiring, nurturing, and positive environment.

Cons

While working at Exhale, I've grown and learned quite a lot about myself. I'm a very driven and intelligent young person, and I'm also super passionate about Exhale and everything that they offer. I was offered a promotion to a manager position within six months of starting at the front desk, and am uniquely capable of handling tough situations with ease and grace. So that being said, I love working at Exhale, but I feel that sometimes this willingness to help, this willingness to step up and be of service in the best way that I can, is often taken advantage of. I am often the one who steps up to take responsibility to solve the problem at hand, to show up when someone else calls out, to personally reach out to a guest, even if it's not really my job. Rather than taking that responsibility as their own, the upper management at the location in which I was hired nearly always lets me step up and take the blame, the responsibility, or the additional working hours. This is probably the reason I've grown so quickly while working at Exhale, but it often results in my feeling under-appreciated and under-supported. This was a huge growth experience for me, and I think I've learned quite a lot about what kind of a manager I'd like to be someday.
