Pros

This is a great entry level retail position and offers a decent employee discount (30%). Most of the managers are very nice and supportive of the employees, and everyone does a great job working together.

Cons

Schedule is done 3 weeks in advance and off days have to be submitted before the schedule is done, yet my manager canceled my shift the day before or the day of said shift a few times. Sometimes employees are put "on call" and are required to call in 2 hours before their shift to see if help is needed, however no compensation is given for this time set aside. All scheduled shifts that cannot be completed require a replacement, even when extraneous circumstances crop up (such as swine flu contraction or snow obstacles)

Pros

Could manage the business as I saw fit as through the lens of a business owner

Cons

Training was minimal and in a location very different than my future store. Staff I inherited was horrible and leadership was not transparent about the status of the store in regards to profitability and issues within the store or company for that matter. Company declared bankruptcy about 5 months after I started and closed my location. Not a great experience.
