Pros

There is nothing good about this corporation.

Cons

Healthcare insurance premiums are insanely expensive. Communication only flows upstream. Managers/ECP personnel are atrociously ill-mannered and condescending. They make every process as confusing as possible. In addition, the "floating holidays" we get have to be used on FEDERAL HOLIDAYS because otherwise they would have us be open for business. We went from a fairly close-knit group of coworkers to all looking for a new job in a matter of weeks. I hope ECP goes bankrupt. I hope the practice loses its patients and is forced to shut down. And I can't wait to leave this place. Avoid working for this company AT ALL COSTS! They are nothing but an acquisition company who don't actually care about our patients. They only care about the bottom line and they make that very apparent. Oh, and no opportunities for promotions any longer. If we want to get CE hours, we have to pay for those out of our pockets and ECP makes us fill out a reimbursement form. It is the height of stupidity around here and I can't wait to leave. I never would have said that before.

Pros

Interesting projects, opportunity to support a business that services patients. Shared services is mostly remote.

Cons

Working for PE-backed firm stinks. Strategy fluctuates and changes with each Executive leadership turnover. Most of the senior leadership is filled with mercenaries who are here only for the next turn (sale) of the company, to cash in their equity options. Several were hired from RCA (a competitor) post RCA's sale. At the corporate level few/none are interested in building a good business, only in extracting what value they can to cash in and move to the next PE firm and repeat. In 3 years: - 3 CEOs - 3 CIOs - CHRO let go and not backfilled - CMO let go and not backfilled - 3 rounds of layoffs that I know of. Often people who were hired within 12 months. Saves money? Maybe except often they have to pay 3x for contractors to do the same work - but on the balance sheet it looks better to pay more for contractors due to EBITDA games.
