The comments about it seeming like high school, or being political, are spot on. Upper management is out of touch and seems to have no idea what's going on. It's not clear what the direction is and no one seems to care about strategy or making money. (that's fine but then...do let your employees know what you want to focus on.) One of the mid management employees would come into work drunk and no one seemed to care. A peer often came in at noon and left by 3. No one cared. Another mid manager asked why I was there, as i seemed to be too competent for the environment. Incompetence is promoted. I'm so glad I left!
