Pros
Repeat customers. By seeing the same familes year after year you can watch their children grow up. You build that relationship with the entire family. Its great seeing "Mrs. Smith" come in and actually be able to ask about her husbad and children and know who they are.
Cons
Too many changes too quickly. Not enough associates to go around. Managers are expected to do the job of the optician and the manager, while the optician has to do only do the job of the optician. Managers are not allowed to have too much "office time" during business hours since the number of employees is kept to a minimum.The managers are expected to be a sales associate 95% of the time. When the mangerial duties are to be done is before or after store hours. If there were more asscociates working the managers would be allowed to be managers first, then still have time to be active on the sales floor during peek hours allowing both ends of the business to be run efficently. Managers are not given the allowable payroll to efficently run the store while keeping the business end of things going as well with the current system.
