Pros

Good 401k, generally good work/life balance depending on team. Some really talented and engaging people still at Eze, but this is quickly getting diluted. Company is putting emphasis on paying external hires even over their top performers, so if you're looking to get a job here, maybe this could be a plus...

Cons

This company is going down hill and fast. Employee morale is extremely low. This has come from senior management turning the place into a call center help desk and driving for an IPO. They've stopped seeing their employees as human with career goals and in turn they now have a lot of disengaged and disgruntled employees, many of whom are leaving in droves. Eze has created a vicious cycle -- once they started prepping for an IPO they did an outrageous 'compensation restructure', cutting bonuses and overall salaries (it was honestly offensive they didn't think employees could do the math). Along with that, they restructured client service into a help desk which both employees and clients hate. Top employees left, clients were disgruntled, Eze stopped making as much money, giving the company less to work with and thus smaller raises, forcing more employees to leave. On top of the small raises and no bonuses, the promotion structure is extremely rigid and strictly tied to tenure, giving employees little motivation to perform or stay. Similar to the new 'help desk' system, the company closed key development offices to outsource to india. This has completely devastated company morale and also makes it extremely difficult for members still in the US to communicate and train the growing number of employees in india. While it may in theory be cost beneficial, it is making it extremely difficult to effectively deliver software and serve clients and also gives a lot of members in the US doubts about their career trajectories at Eze. Senior management is driving out many key leaders who not only were good workers but also embodied a lot of the Eze culture, leaving the company as just a skeleton of the great place it used to be. The company used to consistently apply for and win 'top places to work' awards, but if you see their website this completely vanished in 2014. Similarly, they have stopped listening to employee feedback surveys and have come up with exactly 0 changes derived from employee feedback. The company no longer values culture or its employees and just needs bodies to answer the phones.
