Inexperienced managers and inconsistent expectations - Manager Eze Software Employee Review

Pros

Fun social events are scheduled on a regular basis both during and after work. There are committees devoted to promoting company culture and community service. Soft skills and business skills training sessions are offered regularly (although usually only to managers). The office location (For Point Channel) is fun and convenient.

Cons

There is a lack of experience among managers. Many managers are promoted because of seniority, not because of experience or leadership skills. New managers receive little or no training at all; as a result, management styles and expectations are inconsistent across teams, and employees suffer. The executive management team places a huge emphasis on how Eze values and promotes transparency and career growth, while in reality neither of these are employed consistently. The company still promotes a start-up mentality that is not realistic for a 400+ person company. This start-up mentality works when it's applied to the company culture (see the Pros section). However, when it comes to its products, the company consistently promises clients features it can't deliver and then expects employees to work nights and weekends for days on end only to deliver a band-aid solution that needs to be hotfixed 15 times.
