      Pros

      Nice views of Elliott Bay. Free beer on Friday.

      Cons

      F5 is still relying on selling hardware while their customers are ditching hardware and going to the cloud. New CEO is big step down from the charismatic first one. Extremely top-down management structure--leave your ideas at home. Very limited opportunities to change jobs. College degrees not required, so lots of high-school-educated techie types who know IT but nothing else.

      * I enjoyed the collaborative team culture. Everyone was supportive and willing to help each other. * The work-life balance was good, and the overall working environment was relatively low stress. * I had opportunities to work on large-scale enterprise products and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

      Cons

      * One area I felt could be improved was compensation growth. As my responsibilities and technical skills expanded, I was looking for opportunities that offered stronger career and compensation progression.
