Certain middle managers are very short-sighted in promotional situations. They tend to miss what is truly important in the workplace. Because of that, opportunities are limited and turnover is too high. To compound matters, they often make the situation worse after their short-sightedness. They don't know how to mend broken fences - fences they broke in the first place. Because of those items, my ratings are lower since staff deals with middle managers far more often than senior managers.
