Pros
The work here is interesting and technical, much of it being R&D related. Working here you have the ability to do true R&D work with room for failure, learning, and growth. You won't be sitting in an office doing conceptual design for years; rapid prototyping, hardware testing, and iterative development is the standard. There are no shortage of resources - test equipment, modelling tools, software packages - available to the engineering staff. Every employee is given a significant amount of responsibility and is expected to pull their own weight. Personal development is highly encouraged, and you will work with a number of excellent engineers and technicians. The flex scheduling, PTO, and general work environment make for a great work-life balance and a generally enjoyable place to work.
Cons
Salaries are extremely low considering cost of living in and around Boulder. The company has not figured out how to structure it's management, leading to frequent changes and upheaval. Despite the frequent management reorganization, project management is still weak.
