Pros
Generous time off -- everyone in the US begins with 3 weeks (unheard of in most places) Salaries were fair Autonomy -- I was allowed to do my job without much interference Flexibility -- managers were likely to work with employees and be accommodating in the events of emergencies and family leave
Cons
Lots of turnover with upper management which lead to too many about-faces on what our goals and missions were. We couldn't make product improvements because new management would come in and want to go in a different direction and would undermine all the progress that had been made. This frustrated developers and others who worked so hard to make the improvements. We didn't have enough competent people in some positions, such as client relationship. We had so much turnover that when clients needed to know who their Account Manager was, they called the help desk because no one in Account Management had reached out to them. Clients went months, even a year at times, without hearing from their business relations contact.
