Pros

They are embracing Flexible WFH for now, but I do think they will want employees to eventually return if they have an office location. You get vacation and sick time, but can really use them interchangeably for PTO. Typically the middle management and team members are really good people. Its just the upper management and leadership that don't get it.

Cons

Where to start....actions speak louder than words. In Marketing they are continuing to hire leadership and VP positions and not hiring employees to actually do the work. Where there used to be 2-3 tiers between our roles and the CMO there are now 5. It is great to have "idea people" but without the resources to get the work done it is pointless. People are taking on the work of those that have left for years, not months, because they aren't backfilling positions. There is no extra pay - they actually lessened everyone's pay - and no title changes or opportunities for advancement. HR says, you are your own career coach, or something like that, but its a cop-out because there is no career path or anyone to help you get to the next level. They also say "we want this to be the last place you work" but they clearly do not. They want you to work your butt off for them until they don't need you anymore like any large corporation. During the pandemic they are telling employees how much they appreciate them, but not showing them. When it came time for annual bonuses they did not give them. They gave some employees stock that you can sell in 18 months. Then they took away bonuses on going and gave you only a small % of your bonus to bump your salary. It was a HUGE slap in the face for employees that worked so hard during such a difficult time. The repercussions are showing as people are quitting left and right. They claim they are not immune to the pandemic, but their margins allow them wiggle room to treat their employees right. If other companies can show employees appreciation, so can you. If you are paying your C-suite millions of dollars in bonuses... you are fine. So far this year all sales goals have been exceeded, but they will not pass any of that down to the employees. Many sales team members barely got paid a living wage because they keep making their targets harder and harder to achieve. I will say now is not the time to join this organization. Morale is low, culture is non-existent, and you will be given more work than anyone can handle because they don't have enough people and they aren't really hiring competitively.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
