Pros

I started at FIS in 2019 as part of the Graduate Development program and the rest has been history. The company has enabled me to do a lot of things I did not think one day I would do. It is so easy for people to come to these sites to leave a bad review, so here is a good review for you. Look - it is a huge company and not everything can be perfect 100 % of the time. But let me tell you, I left for a small organization for 9 months and found myself missing the FIS ecosystem, perks, benefits, and overall work/life balance. FIS has solid benefits, Health programs to decrease your annual Health Insurance Cost (Virgin Pulse) and it also pays you money, is the leader globally in the industry, pays the industry average, and overall puts efforts towards its employees. The company is also global and full of opportunities. The internal job boards are always full and so many of my peers move their way from one team to the next to grow vertically and financially. FIS has done a lot for me and I think they could do a lot for you!

Cons

Very large company with silos so sometimes when operating with other organizations it can be hard to get things done, having to raise a ticket for everything can get annoying.

Pros

Nine years of complex engineering challenges and professional growth. Strong camaraderie with talented colleagues across various engineering teams. Opportunities to work on high-impact projects and scalable infrastructure. Gained significant experience in complex system architecture and troubleshooting.

Cons

Abrupt end to a nine-year tenure without adequate transition or transparency. Heavy reliance on an aging, legacy tech stack that hinders innovation. Contradictory AI strategy: leadership mandates aggressive adoption while refusing to fund the necessary compute and tools for teams to actually implement it. Extreme short-term focus on EPS maximization at the direct expense of long-term stability and product health.
