      Pros

      Groups are autonomous. Developers in other countries are nice.

      Cons

      Do a good job and you get to do other people's job as well. None of the upper management knows anything about software: "Why are there bugs in this software after it has been released?" Groups do not share knowledge - everyone starts over from scratch. Security policies are lax, at best.

      Pros

      I was there for 17 years. I worked in several departments. Plenty of job opportunities.

      Cons

      Not sure this is a con but they did alot off restructuring during my career.

      I feel like the strict budget is pay-gating me and that no matter how hard I work my salary will not substantially go up
