The best part of FactSet is the people you work with every day. - Senior Software Engineer FactSet Employee Review

Pros

The people here are very skilled, balanced and willing to do a good job. As long as you are doing a good job management will leave you alone to do what you need to do. FactSet is very achievement oriented and there is a feeling of "we are all in this together." Management is open and accessible and more often than not is as technical as you are.

Cons

FactSet does not seem to believe in formal education and if that is a big issue for you it is not a good place to be. Employees tend to progress on their own. Opportunities at FactSet usually means putting in the time career wise, so industry hires can sometimes be overlooked even though they may have great experience to bring to the table.

Pros

Work from home 3-4 days a weeks

Cons

Senior Management is Akin to a Sorority or Fraternity. They are treated exceptionally well and are shameless in their pursuits of recognition. Forced socialization - whether or not you participate in company events is part of your performance reviews. It's not enough to be a friendly, helpful coworker DEI Disgrace - millions and millions of dollars spent on making sure the wrong people are in the wrong job. But hey, they're the right ethnicity! Forced volunteering - another part of your annual review. They give you time off to volunteer at a company-sponsored event. But if you are the type who likes to just do your job, go home, and find life's satisfaction elsewhere, don't join Factset!
