Pros

I will say that the bulk of time spent at FactSet has been really good, up until a couple of years ago. It's far from being a torture chamber, and there is a lot camaraderie among mid-level folks and between diverse teams. I am a good observer and will say that some departments have been favored over others, insofar as layoff proceedings and business needs go. Free lunches and snacks are really nice, but watch your waistline. Outstanding health plan - the very best thing about the company.

Cons

Too much offshore hiring, way too much. We need the jobs here in the US.

Pros

Work from home 3-4 days a weeks

Cons

Senior Management is Akin to a Sorority or Fraternity. They are treated exceptionally well and are shameless in their pursuits of recognition. Forced socialization - whether or not you participate in company events is part of your performance reviews. It's not enough to be a friendly, helpful coworker DEI Disgrace - millions and millions of dollars spent on making sure the wrong people are in the wrong job. But hey, they're the right ethnicity! Forced volunteering - another part of your annual review. They give you time off to volunteer at a company-sponsored event. But if you are the type who likes to just do your job, go home, and find life's satisfaction elsewhere, don't join Factset!
