Pros

The benefits were pretty good, especially premium-free health insurance and leadership began introducing additional paid time off like mental health days and getting Election Day off were appreciated. I can't speak for the company culture now, but it was pretty good when I was there. The various BRGs, volunteering opportunities, and coworkers were generally pleasant to work with.

Cons

I joined the company towards the tail-end of old school FactSet, where many of the employees were with the company for over 10 years. This tells you something about the company when people stayed that long. A few years or so after I joined, those colleagues began to leave one by one voluntarily as a result of constant reorgs. Those were signs that people were not happy with the direction of the company is going. By the time I left FactSet, fresh grads were only staying for a year or so, and experienced hires for a few years. There were a lot of overlaps with each business unit working in silos and not really communicating with each other. This wind up with similar products being built and sales have a million things to sell.

Work from home 3-4 days a weeks

Cons

Senior Management is Akin to a Sorority or Fraternity. They are treated exceptionally well and are shameless in their pursuits of recognition. Forced socialization - whether or not you participate in company events is part of your performance reviews. It's not enough to be a friendly, helpful coworker DEI Disgrace - millions and millions of dollars spent on making sure the wrong people are in the wrong job. But hey, they're the right ethnicity! Forced volunteering - another part of your annual review. They give you time off to volunteer at a company-sponsored event. But if you are the type who likes to just do your job, go home, and find life's satisfaction elsewhere, don't join Factset!
