Cons
FactSet was once a great place to work. It wasn't perfect, but it paid well enough, it provided interested work, and it invested in its employees, offering clear paths for growth for anybody who wished to stay for the long haul. It was a company that didn't just consistently make "Best places to work" lists every year, it was a company that actively made making these lists a priority. They then threw all of this way for the honor of being the 413th most important company on the S&P 500. It has become a cesspool where bullies aren't just tolerated, they're rewarded for behavior that would get a kindergartner sent to the principal's office. Management used to set a tone that made for a genuinely great company; now management flails about from layoff to layoff, unable to diagnose what's wrong with the company because they refuse to engage in the smallest amount of self-introspection. It is a company that, on its current path, will diminish into obscurity over the next 20 years, and that will be a genuine shame given where it came from.
