Pros
FMP has a laid back environment, but then what else can you expect from a warehouse? The hours are pretty good; First shift, mostly Monday thru Friday, with the occasional Saturday. This is an auto parts warehouse, which is pretty recession-proof. As long as people have cars, you'll have a job. People there are pretty straightforward. There isn't any of the propaganda about the company that you have to deal with at other employers. They call it like it is.
Cons
Management rarely communicates with warehouse staff. The only time you see them is if they want to tell you what is going wrong. Pay is low for the type of work. Try to get as high a starting wage as possible, b/c it will be forever until you see a raise, and even then it won't be much. Atmosphere can be oppressive because of constant negativity. Upper management at corporate has no clue about life on the ground floor. Expect decisions to come down that have no practical implication to the actual day-to-day function of the warehouse.
