A lot (and I mean A LOT) of focus is on attorney compensation, but there has been no focus on compensation for the operations staff. If you receive a top ranking on your annual review, the best merit increase that you’re eligible for is 2.5%. There’s been a lot of staff turnover and the firm is having trouble filling open positions, which means that they’re not paying competitive wages.
