Pros
1. The best of the best. You work with some of the most talented people in the industry. Great coders, brilliant designers, and sharp writers. Everyone is dedicated to their craft, and is motivated to produce incredible work. When you get that amount of dedication in one room, expect great results. I also made life-long friends at this company. 2. Flexible work schedules.
Cons
1. The highs are high, and the lows are extremely low. Although working on multiple projects at warp-speed can be fun, it is also exhausting. The bar is held high, and the pressure to do well is constant. There is little to no monitoring of your personal sanity or workload. 2. Zero to little training. Do not expect to ease your way into Faithlife. If you want to succeed, you have to “play the game” and push yourself daily. Although that is true in any job, Faithlife expects it at a much faster rate. It is difficult, and the majority of people burn out after two years. 3. Low pay and poor process for raises. Even if you prepare and flawlessly present the request, the “Great, we’ll get back to you!” answer stalls. If you don’t initiate the conversation and follow-up, do not expect any return. Rather than invest in employees with good compensation, Faithlife pays with experience. This is a large reason why there’s a high turn-over in Marketing. People cash in elsewhere.
