      Pros

      Great opportunity for EMTs who want to work alongside fire fighters and paramedics on emergency calls. Lots of former Care employees are now in public safety positions.

      Cons

      EMT pay in Southern California is low but Care is competitive and has lots of overtime opportunities. You work in all areas until you get enough seniority hours to bid on a desirable shift.

      Experience, networking, friendships, schedules, that’s about it

      Cons

      There are a lot of them but it’s what you make of it. Keep your head down and don’t deal with management.
