Pros

-You definitely get a lot of experience at a growing sports betting company -You're not micromanaged with the exception of a few roles -Company expanding rapidly, many opportunities for advancement if you're there long enough -Office in NYC is a cool environment. Tons of drinks/snacks like all the startups, TV's always on. It's a good time -Get all the tech you want/need, not sure about home offices now post the peak of covid. -Most people there are super bought in to everything. There are a lot of "lifers", people that will likely be at FD til they retire. -Initial comp was good, benefits were great. Zero complaints at all.

Cons

-Let me be extremely clear on this one. They want "yes men" at FanDuel. -If you don't agree or shut up and go along with everything leadership is doing, you're done. -If you're very non confrontational and don't mind how things are being done above you, this won't affect you and you'll love it there. -Since they've gotten larger, that startup feel is just about gone entirely. -Certainly quite a few ppl who just show up for the paychecks at this point, but FD likes those people the best as they won't speak out. -There is a lot of hypocrisy as far as what they let employees say/do. Everyone signs something saying they will only bet legally, but it's only enforced on some. -Yearly raises were 1-2% for most. That's not gonna help keep talent there.

Pros

Smart, talented colleagues who are collaborative and willing to help. Opportunities to own meaningful projects early. Flexible work environment with a good balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Cons

Priorities can shift quickly, Processes are still evolving as the company continues to grow, Cross-functional alignment can sometimes take longer than expected because of the number of stakeholders involved, Decision-making can occasionally be slower than expected due to regulatory and compliance considerations.

Pros

Great people, great camaraderie. Flexible office presence.

Cons

No consistent strategy. Massive reorganizations every 8-months made it difficult to complete anything. Product works in a silo, then brings the rest of the business along.
