***I am probably in the best position to address the concerns conveyed in this review. As Corporate Controller, I see the good, the bad, and the ugly and understand our financial strength better than anyone. I am quite optimistic about our short-, mid-, and long-term prospects. This company has more revenue streams than its competitors, is far more cutting edge than corporations ten times our size. When we present our production and design software at industry conferences, we usually find that the software our competitors plan on developing in the next 2 - 5 years, we have been using in-house for longer than that.
***Regarding layoffs: Again, I am in a great position to know what is going on here. Since you were employed in our Mechatronics department, you know that we have not laid anyone off in IT or Mechatronics for a very long time. You yourself were not laid off. You expected us to accept your working full-time at another job that was consuming your time and attention. You had left our company before you left. Not sure how dedicated an employee that makes you.
***I can also say with a great degree of certainty that you did not see any of the inner workings of the company. Your "management" position was not corporate level, nor were you involved in activities outside general press and equipment maintenance. You were not involved in planning or big picture discussions, only day to day work. When you came on board, we had great hopes for your potential with our company, as we recognized your abilities. We'd hoped you would make a significant contribution to our future successes. Regretfully, you chose another path. We wish you good luck on your journey and believe that one day you will understand what you left behind at PFS.
