Pros
The PTO policy is honestly the only real perk of working at FareHarbor. If you’re trying to break into SaaS sales and just need something on your resume they will pretty much hire anyone.
Cons
The advertised AE earnings? Mmmm maybe in like three years if everything goes your way. Leadership knows this but just gaslights AEs into thinking they’re not working hard enough, when really the commission structure was built for a completely different time when there were way fewer reps, bigger lead lists, and no competitors back in like 2017. The base pay is honestly embarrassing for the amount of stuff we’re expected to learn, retain and turn into closed deals. I know a few reps who completely blew their targets out of the water and still came nowhere close to hitting their on target earnings..and that is just really disheartening. The lead list situation is actually insane. The pools are tiny, the info is super outdated and so burned through that you’ll be calling businesses that either have zero interest (thinking FareHarbor is something completely different like trip advisor) or are literally locked into contracts for years and yet leadership still expects you to close them. There’s no career growth here at all. They bring in outside managers who have no SaaS experience and questionable leadership skills so if you were hoping to move up good luck because that’s not happening. They hired 2 new sales directors in the past year but are still trying to hire someone to change the comp structure. It’s the blind leading the blind. Also don’t expect any real tools to help you sell. No customer success stories, no one pagers, no functioning CRM, nothing useful from marketing at all. If you are used to companies that actually equip their sales teams, you’re gonna be really disappointed because the whole vibe here is just “here’s a list of names, go make it happen” Leadership acts like it’s still the 90s and thinks the answer to everything is just to make more calls while other companies are out here using AI and modern sales strategies and actually helping their reps succeed. Feels like FareHarbor is just stuck in the past. Oh and strategy does not exist...like we actually got our Q1 sales targets on January 30th…which should tell you everything you need to know. The company just recently announced that AEs will start getting trained on product updates like that’s some huge innovation and not just something that should have been happening forever. Positions titles will straight up disappear while people are in the middle of transitioning into them and they just keep hiring more and more people even though leadership clearly has no real plan. The product itself is falling far behind too. Devs spend time building random features no one asked for while ignoring the things we actually need to stay competitive. FareHarbor calls itself enterprise level but yeah no.
