Pros

The total compensation package is pretty generous despite the base salary being lower than average. The 401k, pension and very generous PTO policy offset it somewhat. The company goes out of its way to have employees dedicate time for training (at least 40 hours a year to grow yourself) and provides funding for certs and training. They do a lot of fun culture building events such as cookouts or gatherings at the brewery in the lobby of the office tower. Work load can be high and stressful, but that seems to vary by manager, mine was a very reasonable person.

Cons

Base pay is below market average for most high skill technical positions. Some managers paint a negative picture for their staff and the workload demands are unreasonable given the low pay. My team was also understaffed, we needed 4 more team members to be effective and struggled to add 1.

Pros

Everyone was very nice and outgoing great environment to work in and learn in. I Would go back the company had many fun events and I felt at home within the first week of being there.

Cons

The timing was unfortunate because they got a new manager on the same day I started so he didn't know how to guide me at first because he had started the same day I did.

Pros

Lot of good people working there when I was there. The folks who have been there the longest on the technical side are phenomenal and so supportive and patient.

Cons

The culture was very stressful. Everything was always an emergency. Developers were expected to do everyone's job and then of course also blamed for anything that went wrong. When I was there, the on call expectations were insane. From day one they made it clear that the expectation is that you will work way more than 40 hours/week (when there's an emergency! which was always) and not be paid well for it.
