Pros
- Multi-million-dollar projects, great resume item to have. - Small company - chance to do a variety of things. - Lots of responsibilities. - Great "fun" job if you are single, and a male. - Starting salary is phenomenonal! Great salary adjustments, but salary adjusts down if you plan to have a family and settle down in one location.
Cons
- Good benefits on health care, but poor dental care plan. - Low vacation days; does not 'grow' with years of employment. - Long hours compensated with straight pay, NOT overtime pay (like others suggested). - Lots and lots of drinking events, be prepared to socialize at work and afterwork with the same people, otherwise it's a "CLM" (career limiting move). - Coworkers are divided into 3 groups (1) awkard and nerdy ones, (2) normal folks just here for a job and (3) cult followers whom religiously suck up to company managers and partners. Category (3) is the majority. - Flat organizational structure, not much room for growth for career-oritented folks.
