Pros

Good starting wage. Relatively easy job. Moving is easy with professional movers paid for. Fun environment with occasionally paid for dinners and night out.

Cons

Wage doesn't increase with more responsibility. Relocation mandatory. Rarely consider location preferences. Co-workers not usually easy to work with. Required to work OT often.

As a rule, salary adjustments are based on performance and merit. We believe that people should be rewarded for the work that they do and the quality/efficiency with which they do it. HR@gentax.com With regard to relocation, we believe that our business model of relocating FAST teams to our client sites is critical to our success. All of our clients, and most of our employees would agree. Because of this, we make it clear from the beginning of any recruitment that relocation is part of the job. It’s a job characteristic that prospective employees should consider carefully as they weigh their career choices. That said, we recognize that relocation is disruptive and stressful for FASTies and their families, and do whatever we can to make the process as painless as possible. To better match client needs/work locations with employee preferences, we have just implemented a new system that allows employees to communicate their preference in work locations to staffing coordinators. Employees can now, electronically, identify their preferred work locations as well as the work locations they prefer to avoid. It’s important to understand, however, that while the system makes it easier for us to be aware of employee preferences, as a business we must ensure that we make good on our promises to our clients, make sure their needs are met, and staff their projects accordingly.
