Pros

I met some cool people during training that I still talk to. I’m sure this is a great fit for some people, but I did not see the good side during my time there.

Cons

The job overview and training was portrayed one way during my interviews but was much different after I started. I felt like I had no support when working at HQ and barely saw my supervisor during my time there. We had “instructors” who never actually taught us anything. Even talking with the instructors and supervisor, it felt like they always had their mind made up about things and wouldn’t try to help or acknowledge when I tried to learn their system on my own outside of work. Some of my peers and I were always on edge going into work because it felt like they over-hired and were looking for any reason to fire someone. You also need to be really good at coding to begin. I was told I would be trained under the assumption I had barely any experience with coding but once I joined the team, I was expected to know it all and was not given time to absorb it all. I spent a lot of time outside of work doing extra studying but ultimately I couldn’t learn 4 years worth of coding in 3 months which is why it ended.

Pros

-great coworkers -health insurance covered

Cons

It’s so sad to see where this company is headed. Two years in a row of bait and switch annual adjustments; this year the majority of the company got raises that did not even keep pace with inflation. There is no incentive to work hard anymore, as you will receive a worse raise then someone mediocre who’s willing/able to move. No upwards mobility. Your career will be stagnant. Benefits are slowly being gutted. As tech you are on call 24/7/365 and depending on your site you could be called constantly in the middle of the night. Sexism and harassment are not handled appropriately by HR.
