Pros
• The paycheck clears on time. • A few decent coworkers, most of whom eventually burn out and leave.
Cons
I’ve been on over 5 FAST project sites. The toxic environment isn’t an isolated issue—it’s systemic. Management pushes a “work hard, play hard” culture that quickly turns into normalized burnout, favoritism, and hostility toward anyone who questions the status quo. Sexual comments and inappropriate jokes are common and tolerated—sometimes even laughed off by leadership. I’ve personally witnessed incidents that should have gone straight to HR, but reporting anything is a career risk. HR exists to shield the company, not protect employees. Alcohol is embedded in the company culture, often under the guise of “team bonding.” If you don’t drink or party, you’re excluded or labeled as an outsider. I’ve also seen cases where drug use was clearly known but ignored because the person was a “top performer.” Meanwhile, expect long hours, outdated tech, and a suffocating lack of autonomy. You’re either obedient or you’re a “bad fit.” Advancement is not based on performance—it’s based on how well you toe the company line. If you’re expecting professional growth, mentorship, or even basic respect, look elsewhere.
