Pros
I've worked at two other large firms, and was fed up 'gifting' 30% commission each month. Being a top producer, I looked at going out on my own or going with Fathom. Fathom won, they take so little in commission, I would have paid those fees and more if I had opened my own boutique firm. They give me a website, E%o, tons of training, if you need it and lots of marketing materials. I am able to offer a seller any commission rate, where my other companies encouraged me to ask 6% and would not allow me to go under 5%.. I receive 100% commission, less a small processing fee per transaction. There is a once yearly fee of around 500 or 600 dollars. I get stock options on my sales, which is cool.. When I have questions, Fathom responds quickly. They have a wonderful Facebook page, where we can exchange ideas with each other (realtor to realtor) and training which is as good or better than my previous two big name firms. I cannot understand agents staying with what I call the 'dinosaur' firms. If you need hand holding, go with those big firms- but you are in sales....so you probably shouldn't need it. The President of Fathom is super easy to communicate with. Seriously, he will respond to you. As far as referral network, I have referred clients to other Fathom agents across the country. Fathom reminds me of my last firm, about 10 years ago, none of my clients then had heard of it.
Cons
None that I can think of
