Management and employees are great to work with, understanding, encouraging and patient when they need to be.

I don't see any cons.

The employees. That's literally it. Pay was alright.

When I first started at Federal Foam I was promised a good steady job with plenty of of work and lots of room for "Growth" in the company both production and career-wise. Let's just say, that the only "Growth" I saw was the amount of lies we were told. For months people noticed the decrease in people and work to do. Every staff meeting my fellow employees would ask if we should be looking for work elsewhere because we were all getting worried. They would always tell us we had nothing to worry about and said they would do layoffs here and there for a few months. That was right before they started doing mandatory layoffs 1-2 weeks/month for all shifts and then started letting a bunch of people go one by one in the middle of production because "business isn't doing as well as they'd hoped" and you are kicked out like yesterday's news and told good luck. I had just hit my one year anniversary there and they let me order a Federal Foam pullover for my 1 yr, like cool thanks. Let's just say after they tossed me and my things out the door with no warning. The shirt was still so KINDLY sent to me by mail. I had to make sure it wasnt april 1st, because i bet they had a good laugh. I cant stand to look at it, but it made a better litter box liner for my pet ferret's copious amounts of $#!^ anyways. Its been holding up alright but I can't say the same for the smell though. The employees were all great, at least as far as the machine operators, setup and lead are concerned. I got along with everyone I worked with. The production manager is a complete tool. He acts like your best friend and then walks around all day aimlessly and just looks around for rule breakers or to hover over your shoulder. I dont think I've ever seen his hands do anything except hide in his pockets. There's a lot of favoritism, no accountability and they work you to the bone for less-than-you-deserve pay, awful insurance and broken promises. You will never move up the chain, and you wouldn't want to anyways, unless you want to become another one of Geppetto's long nose Pinocchios. What a joke this place is. Had they been honest months and months prior, when we all FIRST asked, I would have had a backup job in place, but as it turns out this company is so corporate-like that they have absolutely no family-values. They ruined mine and my sons Christmas because they just couldn't take accountability and be upfront with anyone about anything. No, I was never talking about the employees in the beginning. It's the management. 1/100 do not recommend applying. Especially if you do not like snakes. You will get bit when you are completely unaware. I know I still feel the sting.
