Pros
The benefits are very good, the downtown location (35 E Wacker) is an upscale building with nice furniture and offices. The pay is competitive, and donors give thousands for new PCs, temporary systems, the latest smart phones, and software. If you work in Technology, you get to travel, take great courses, tinker with the latest software, work from home, but work hard for the mission (nights, weekends and holidays).
Cons
There is very little support from the eight executives around technology and there is no diversity in Technology. Of almost 30 technology employees, there are no African American's, only one or two hourly Hispanics, and if they do hire an ethnic minority, they are only accepted for so long (on average, less than two years). Technology management or the highly paid are 100% white in Technnology.
