Feeding America

Is this your company?

Feeding America has a corporate environment with white supremacy roots despite CEO of color. - Director Feeding America Employee Review

Pros

Benefits, pay, and office are nicer than the average nonprofit. Great outward image and PR for corporations that want to play it safe (though the reality is a different story).

Cons

Size of company creates duplication of efforts and less risk taking to create greater impact. Antiquated leadership and company structure that does not allow talented community members or other new leaders to be involved and/or to advance solutions for food insecurity. Unfortunately, there is a clique culture that rewards gossip and indirect or passive communication. Management prioritizes company and executive leaders’ needs first vs. establishing a employee-centered or any form of shared leadership or progressive management. Human Resources serves no function in offering assistance or support.
