Pros

Fully remote. Pays well and that's where the pros end

Cons

Mentally and emotionally draining job trying to retain policies for a company that does not seem to care about their customers or their employees. It's all about numbers and after having to tell customers with sick and dying pets so many times that the company is doubling/tripling their rates and/or slashing their coverages in a deliberate attempt to try and get them to cancel because of their claims history it leaves you feeling bad about yourself defending a company who not only does that but PAYS their employees to get those policyholders (the ones who most need the coverage) canceled. These coverage cuts and increases due to claims history are not standard in the industry and it feels awful seeing it happen to people everyday. That along with policies renewing into new terms and conditions with steep increases and then not allowing customers to cancel immediately anymore, removing coverage for holistic meds that some customers have had coverage for for years and now suddenly do not (thanks so much for being a loyal customer, right?), etc. And let's not forget the amazingly shady fact that they also deliberately try to hide their phone number on the online portal. It's not a mistake. This was a conscious business decision. Because trustworthy, reputable businesses totally try to make it hard for their customers to contact them, right? On the management side, it's crickets until you do something wrong or have a bad day/low retain rate. They're quick to jump to coaching as soon as you're not performing to their standards and feels that your job is always up in the air but if you're doing well, you never hear anything about that. It's not abnormal for some of the team to break down and cry on the job. But hey let's keep pushing numbers numbers numbers and ignore the problems with the product itself until we completely out the whole team right? It got so bad I couldn't even enjoy my weekends anymore because I was stressing out about having to clock in again Monday morning. Health insurance was also a joke. Expensive and super high deductibles I'm glad I was able to get out and find a better company and feel bad for everyone else still stuck there
