Pros

Very good family oriented business. The health insurance and employee wellness programs are fantastic. Buying chicken in bulk directly is a great bonus perk to save money.

Cons

A lot of the management especially as you get into higher ranks is of the very old school mentality of if you aren't literally sitting at your desk you aren't working. And as such they are generally not conducive of working from home (though maybe some attitudes have shifted since Covid happened)

Alot of hours. Easy work

Alot of hours- they say Monday through friday with occasional weekends but its Monday through Sunday aleast 3 weeks out of the month. And then when you need a day off for something important its a big deal. And they make you feel guilty for taking off. They dont appreciate the work you do. Like many places your just a machine until they dont need you anymore then your expendable. When I started i was full of energy and happy to be working. After about o year going above and beyond the other employees I realized the supervisors didn't care about you. Just your hours you can be slave driven with. No appreciation at all as a person. Many people stay 6 months a year. Either the good ones quit or they fire them for some stupid reason. If you dont mind being driven and having no life outside of this work its a great job.
