Pros

Overall I had a great experience there, Everyone was very skilled at their roles and seemed to enjoy what they did. Everything was documented extremely well in confluence: art, design and engineering. They had an amazing QA department.

Cons

I was part of a layoff in 2023. People that had been there 10 or 20+ years were let go, including the CEO. They had told us weeks prior, multiple times, that there would be no layoffs.

A great inclusive place to work where the team is fun to work with and listens to feedback.

Cons

Not the most stable job, but that is the games industry overall.

If working on site, most of the the people are great to work with.

Cons

The environment used to be very collaborative, no longer. Production does not listen to engineering causing issues with deliveries. This was the main reason why the UI for Civ7 was so crappy when it shipped. Upper management is mostly absent from day to day operations and seems interested in only advancing their own careers by creating new 3 letter terms. Upper management is no longer on site, its located in N.C. Upper management is convinced AI will allow them to make games by saving time. While AI can do a lot of tasks, it can't define or create FUN. Sadly that feature "FUN" will be what is sacrificed in order to keep a budget and make a schedule.
