Pros

For the first three years I worked at FireEye, things were absolutely fantastic. I moved to FireEye from an IR role at another company because whenever I would go on an IR and FireEye was there, it made my job a cakewalk. It was a no-brainer. I had a position I loved and I was contributing enormous amounts between various different teams. I got to work with tons of different, great, talented people and management at that time seemed to be good. Compensation was great and I loved every moment of my job.

Cons

A new manager came in and caused a domino-effect dissolution of our team. Literally everyone left the company or left the team. I went to a new team where I was interviewed for one very specific thing (my forte) and then was put on projects that had absolutely nothing to do with it - a senior employee on my team doing grunt work. The manager was completely unapproachable to the point that he would be taking a break and I would ask for five minutes of his time whenever he had a chance and he was always too busy for me. I had to rely on the most senior (by time in position) guy on the team - I'd consider him my peer skill-wise - in order to get anything across to the manager. More management shake-ups caused more problems and lots of attrition. Immature management with no vision, acquisitions of companies that now far exceed the market cap of the company as a whole, and difficulty integrating those acquisitions caused a lot of problems.

Pros

Their IT department was initially challenging to work for but once I got in the groove it was fairly smooth sailing.

Cons

Some departments were not on the same page and hampered communication.
