Pros
Good pay and benefits, had opportunity to work with and learn from extremely talented and professional coworkers, valuable experience gained.
Cons
FireEye has somehow managed to combine the disorder and chaos of a startup with the monolithic inflexibility of a large corporation. This is the most heavily siloed company I have ever seen. There are massive logistical problems that never get resolved because separate departments are incapable of collaborating effectively. This may be related to an increasingly toxic management culture that heavily prioritizes immediate numbers over practical long-term strategy. Managers frequently tout career mobility while simultaneously working to obstruct employees from advancing outside of their departments. The workload constantly increases year after year as more products and higher expectations are added, problems that make the work needlessly complicated and difficult never get addressed, and employees are increasingly treated as disposable. FireEye's time has come and gone, and there are much better opportunities at other cybersecurity companies.
