Cons
Managers required to work weekend sales events once a month that are usually holiday weekends that normal people get 3 days off like labor day, memorial day, presidents day. Manager required to work one Sunday a month, but not allowed to take Monday off. Expected to work 6 days on weeks we are required to work Sunday. Average store has a small staff of 3 customer service associates including the store manager, to cover being open 7 days a week 12 hours a day. 50-60 hour work weeks normal for everyone. Not a lot of room for time off. You must be very hands on to work here, not much delegation, hapening around here. You will be accountable for personall performance, and leadership doesn't count for much. No Work life balance, long hours with no comp-time. Must work every Saturday. People promoted for being good sales people, not good leaders. Higher ups will ignore problems in store and managers who abuse employees as long as sales are good in store. Lack of development beyond store manager level. Culture of the manager carrying the store and upper management believes the store will fail or sales will fall short on managers day off.
