Pros
While they push you for sales, however, customer service is their priority. They are not as aggressive as other big banks.
Cons
Branch Managers do pretty much whatever they want. They treat employee literally like they don't even care about high turnover rate at the bank. When I took the position I have replaced two previous personal bankers who have left before me within a 12 months period. The upper management does not put check and balance in place to know how employees are being treated or what their experience is like. At almost most branches, BMs play the favoritism game. If you are white like myself and speak English without an accent, which I lack because I was raised in India, they will promote you from teller to Branch Manager or any other higher positions. During interview, they tell you that the schedule is 9-5 PM. However, they make you come to work at 7 AM on some days and stays to work until 7:15 PM on other days; or sometimes 7:30 AM-7:15 PM. Yet, you are not entitled to work overtime. Work week is capped at 40 hours. For the week that you are scheduled to spend more than 40 hours at the bank, you have to take longer lunch or sometimes even work off the clock because the manager will make a scene if you are 0.3 minute over 40 hours. Bottom line is that you end up spending more of your time at the bank.
