Pros

ESOP Good people can be found Gym

Cons

Pay is below market competition. Require vaccine or weekly testing. They don’t listen to their home office employees and when concerns are made their response every time is “based off market research we have proven we don’t care”. They revere advisors as gods and pay them ridiculous amounts while the home office support workers make pennies in comparison. Unless you are executive or a high earning advisor they look down on you as if you are beneath them and don’t matter. Talented people are leaving in droves for better pay but they still don’t listen. Don’t worry they will have market research to combat this review!

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us. At First Command, we maintain our strong culture and mission by attracting and retaining talented people. We focus on providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth, and we reward them through an attractive compensation and benefits program. We offer competitive pay which is supplemented with a generous benefits package. In addition, as an employee-owned company, First Command offers an Employee Stock Ownership Program to qualified employees. This valuable retirement benefit is funded entirely by company contributions. First Command Financial Advisors go through an extensive training program designed to equip them to succeed as independent contractors and earn a strong income through competitive industry commissions. Advisors learn how to build and grow their own business, serve new clients and provide quality, face-to-face financial coaching. Through this hard work and dedication, they coach our clients to become financially disciplined and confident in their pursuit of financial security. We encourage employees to discuss concerns with their supervisors or management. In a recent employee experience survey, more than 90 percent of employees said they have confidence in the leadership of our organization and believe leaders care about their employees’ well-being. In October, First Command ranked 19 in Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces list. Employee surveys and Glassdoor reviews provide us critical insights. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
